Beaches Community Garden, located in Jarboe Park in Neptune Beach, serves as a place where individuals, families and groups can rent plots for a small fee in order to grow organic vegetables, herbs, and other edibles. The garden also serves the community through educational programs and workshops, publications, demonstration native plant gardens, a children’s garden, and guided garden tours. BLFN aims to reconnect people to how food is grown, thus reconnecting to the natural wonders and resources of the Earth.
Garden Plots are available to all members of the Beaches Community, including those west of the intracoastal waterway with a priority given to Neptune Beach residents (minimum 25% of total plots). When we are fully rented, we maintain a waiting list. You can be added to the waiting list at any time.
The Gardens are leased and cared for by members of our community. In order to respect their time and efforts, you must be accompanied by a Garden Member in order to tour the Community Garden. You can schedule an educational tour of the gardens for a small donation or attend some of the workshops held on site.
The garden also hosts educational workshops for small fees, open to the greater community, as well as children’s gardening programs.
We are very grateful to the following businesses and groups that have shown their support for the mission of good food for all.
